Ever Heard of the Zuma Rock ?

I was looking up the nominations for "The New 7 Wonders of Nature" over at New7Wonders when I came across a contestant site from Nigeria in the Mountains Category.

 

What caught my attention was the Name of the site from Nigeria ... Get ready it's called the "Zuma Rock " .

Zuma Rock, located near the main road going north from Abuja to Kaduna in Nigeria, is also referred to as the "Gateway to Abuja." The monolith is also reported to constitute the exact geographical center of Nigeria.It's currently ranked 25 out of . If you are not happy about voting for this Zuma you may consider another contestant site from the Western Cape and it's not other than our own Table Mountain . Vote for Table Mountain here  Vote now for Table Mountain   . 

 

Perhaps this can be seen as a real battle between two monoliths of Africa.  I can't help but draw comparisons between the ANC's Jacob Zuma and the DA's Helen Zille in light of the upcoming 2009 General Elections.
